In 2007, an informal partnership began that would eventually turn into what EPIG is today.
Nick Kurtz started a MetLife direct agency in 2006 to help compliment a network of quality financial advisors that needed proper protection for their customer’s assets. Concurrently, Rob Schmidt worked as an Independent agent having access to many different insurance companies at another local insurance agency. As two local student-athletes, and products of the Lehigh Valley, there was a level of respect that already existed. They developed a common bond to help one another in their separate organizations to meet their client’s needs. In 2009 Rob was recruited to the specialty restoration and emergency response industry because of his background in risk management and insurance industry knowledge. Over 7 years he establish himself as a critical resource for Insurance companies, Records management companies, Federal, State, Local agencies and many more.
While Rob was building a reputation and personal brand throughout the United States as an expert in the critical document recovery industry, Nick was continuing to grow his direct agency and client base. As time evolved, Nick identified the need to bring more product s and resources to EPIG’s growing customer base. That drove him to establish an Independent agency in 2011.
With the agency having successful growth year over year and with the increasing needs of Nick’s clients, he recognized the importance of enhancing his client’s experiences. In turn, nick decided to expand his agency to have a more focused approach to protect his clients personal and/or business needs. As Nick’s agency reached this pinnacle point, Nick thought there would be no better partnership than with an old friend and industry leader, Rob Schmidt.
